For Aftermarket Industry Employers and Employees

You may encourage the sons and daughters of families employed in the automotive aftermarket to apply for a GAAS Scholarship.

Priority is given to three categories of applicants:

  • Students planning to become technicians in automotive, collision, heavy duty or agricultural fields.
  • Students planning to work for any automotive aftermarket company.
  • Students who are sons and daughters of families employed in the automotive aftermarket.

We encourage you to let everyone in your organization know about this. There are several fliers you can download from the “Resources” page at this site. You may reproduce them for your company.

PLEASE make sure applicants list you and your firm as their sponsor. PLEASE also consider providing a reference letter for each applicant. These will help the applicant!

PLEASE also consider making a contribution to the GAAS Scholarship fund. A survey of past scholarship recipients showed that 75% are working in the automotive aftermarket. There is no better way to insure our industry’s future than by helping new people enter the aftermarket, and the GAAS scholarships are a proven way to do that.

Contributions should go to the GAAS Scholarship Fund, c/o Susan Medick, AAIA, 7101 Wisconsin Avenue, Suite 1300, Bethesda, MD 20814, (240) 333-1040, susan.medick@aftermarket.org.
