CAWA proudly announces the recipients for the 2009 Memorial Scholarship Program. The selected students will each receive funds toward their 2009 academic year. We congratulate each recipient for their dedication to their education in the automotive aftermarket industry.
"Not only are we pleased to be awarding nine scholarships this year, we are pleased that we continue to award them to deserving students from each state CAWA represents, which are California, Nevada, and Arizona." stated CAWA Scholarship Task Force Chair, Borise Cota of Akebono.
Nestor Carlos of Hayward, California was selected to receive the Mort Schwartz award, which is the highest award granted and is named after the scholarship program's founder and former CAWA Chair of the Board, Mort Schwartz. Mr. Carlos is attending Chabot College.
