Stant Awards Five Scholarships for 2012

 

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – The Stant Corp. has awarded five $1,000 scholarships through the Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS) Scholarship Committee.

 

The Stant award winners, listed below, are students planning careers as automotive technicians:

 

·         Mark Campbell, Leesburg, Va.

·         Jacob Conlon, Ludlow, Mass.

·         Alexander Leonard, Rockville, Ind.

·         Anthony Looman, Frankfort, Mich.

·         Damon Soltero, Columbia, S.C.

 

Stant Corp. pledged $5,000 to fund five $1,000 scholarships for the 2012 GAAS scholarship awards.

 

“It was our pleasure to work with the GAAS Scholarship Committee on our awards this year, and we look forward to getting more involved in the process in 2013,” said Curt Howell, president and CEO of Stant. “We are pleased to provide this much-needed assistance to students planning careers as technicians, and hope that these awards serve as inspiration for other students considering entering our industry.”
