The Car Care Council Women's Board (WB) Scholarships

The Car Care Council Women’s Board is comprised of professional women and men from the automotive aftermarket who are dedicated to providing career leadership to women in the automotive aftermarket, providing car care information to female audiences and encouraging young people to investigate opportunities in the automotive aftermarket. 

 

WB Scholarship Program

To be eligible for these scholarships, an applicant must be:

  • Applicants must have a minimum grade point average (2.5 or better).
  • High School Applicants – Applicant must be a female high school senior who plans on attending an ASE-certified, post-secondary automobile technology program.
  • Technician Applicants – Applicants must be a female student who has completed one year at an ASE-certified, post secondary automotive technology program by July 1, 2013.

In 2013, WB will award six scholarships, three to postsecondary students and three to high school seniors. The recipient of the Becky Babcox Women’s Board scholarship, a postsecondary student, will receive $5000 and a trip to the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) show in Las Vegas. The next postsecondary student will receive $2500, and another will receive $2000. The top high school senior will receive $3000. The next high school senior will receive $1500, and another will receive $1000. All funds will be paid directly to the school of your choice. Recipients will be notified by The Car Care Council Women's Board.

 

Scholarship recipients are selected by representatives of the Car Care Council Women’s Board.
